As more and more people are passing there driving test and more cars are on the road parking is becoming a real problem in all areas and especially in areas that with period properties that wear built with horse and cart in mind and not two or three cars and more recently car charging point.
This beautiful property based in in the village of Worsley was not designed with a two car family in mind. We worked alongside PJH Architects to create something that would be practical and still keep the look of the property.
350 Ton of dirt removed, some retaining wall, beautiful brickwork and the original wall coping to finish off and here you have a practical two car driveway complete with electric gate and car charging point.
The Story
This beautiful house had not off road parking to the front of the property, but did have a large unlevel and unused garden. We introduced a large retaining wall and reused as much of the original wall as possible to maintain the look of the property, this meant removing over 300 ton of dirt to make way for a beautiful two car driveway with a new electric gate made bespoke to match the original foot gate of the property.

This shows the amount of dirt that had to be removed before we could start to lay concrete for the new retaining wall footings and a sub base for the new driveway.
