This property was a great project to work on and came with lots of challenges, but well worth the hard work as its now an amazing energy efficient family home.

This was a beautiful converted barn that in its day would of been very in keeping with the area, but when we walked round and really started to look it was clearly dated and a very inefficient building with little to no insulation in the ceiling and the walls.

This is a beautiful old barn based in Altrincham that we were asked to bring up to date in terms of the design and energy efficiency, this included taking everything back to brick and supper insulating the walls and ceiling areas along with installing a new efficient boiler and underfloor heating throughout the building.

Working alongside www.highpeakarch.com we have managed to create a beautiful energy efficient home and still maintain to character of the original building.

The Story

This was a full back to brick refurbishment which included lots of structural steel to help create the the highly desired open plan living the client was looking for. We also used lots of insulation where ever possible and introduce Under Floor Heating and a new heating system to make the building as energy efficient as possible.
